पुष्प की "अभिलाषा"

In the selfish times that we inhabit, people who would stand up for the larger good of the community are a rarity. Most of us lack the time, inclination and courage to think about and work for anything which lies beyond our immediate concerns.
It therefore gives me pleasure to introduce you to Abhilasha, a dear old family friend. She has successfully spearheaded a community movement and prevented MCD (Municipal Commission of Delhi) from turning one of her colony parks into a parking lot.
Above is a recent article in the Hindustan Times of 8th Jan'10 which applauds this effort. I apologize for the slightly tacky look of the article but because I could not blog it directly from the HT, I had to scan and put it up for you to see. I am however sure the beauty of her intent and work would more than compensate for this.

However small the effort, it is huge for the people in the vicinity. Large cities are choking and may never surface for that last breath. Reason why we shifted to Jpr (rural area acc to some of my friends in Bby).

Having lived in the mountains, it is unbearable to live in concrete jungles. No time to wait and watch................

So long and keep up the good work

Thanks for recognising the efforts.

If sensitive citizens show even a little interst to retain the good things in their surrounding, the cumulative impact would be so strong that no city corporation would go for any disastrous construction plan.

ALL OUR MODERN DAYS VOWS ARE DUE TO UNCONTROLLED GROWTH OF POPULATION.

THIS IS ONE THING WHICH YOU MUST HIGHLIGHT IN ALL YOUR BLOGS IF YOU ARE REALLY WANNA DO SOMETHING FOR THE SOCIETY, NATION & MOTHER EARTH.

ALL BAD REASONS CAN BE CONNECTED WITH THIS EVIL.

Abhilasha Mathur,
Bravo & cogratulations. If all of us are alive to what is happening around us and show timely reaction we can dream of a better world. Many such things are happily ignored by most of us and therefore we suffer. You have proved that you are aware, alive & bold. Congrats & best of luck.
